I want to take this time to discuss a little about MLM’s, Multi Level Networking. For some reason people cringe when that is mentioned and the common answer I hear for this revolves around, that they are pyramid schemes. You know I can not speak for all of the companies out there that are saying they are MLMs, [and I am NOT a lawyer] but basically if you exchange a product for money it is not a pyramid. Some companies may follow that definition in a grey area but the good ones offer a good product or products. So do you research for a good company – have they been in business for a while [unless it is a state of the art product] if it is a start-up what is the background of the founders and the research involved in the product. Are their any lawsuits against the company [this is a good place to check because bad companies will have a lot of suits against them from former members], better business bureau, etc. After you checked the company I highly recommend their key product is a product you will use, be a “Product of the Product” as I have mentioned in the past. Lets say you have found a company you like a lot, now what? I got lucky, or did I, on my 2 ventures into MLM, I hooked up with 2 good sponsors. You have to make sure you have a great rapport with them, they are going to be you r mentor and make or break your success. My 1st one was great we got along real well. He wasn’t even in the same state and I was building my business. Timing just didn’t work out. I had signed a contract to do a job overseas in S.Korea. The 2 months after I signed the contract, before I left for Korea my biz boomed I cleared +$4k each month. So he agreed to keep me afloat for the 3 months I was away. The team we were involved with had an awesome lead system, so I agreed to keep purchasing some and he would work them for me. Remember in an MLM the more you help other the more you benefit. I would get the leads contact them VIA email saying to expect a call, he would call, and he did. I didn’t buy as much as I would have if I had been home, because he was buying his own also. After about 3 weeks and I purchased the next months leads, I didn’t hear from him. Unfortunately, for me, not our country he is a great leader, he is a Col. In the U.S. Army reserves and was called to duty in Iraq. Understandably I wasn’t on his list of affairs to get in order, and I am grateful for what he did for my biz and our country. Moving on his sponsor had retired, I knew that, the one above him making, over $30k /month, had no time for me, told me to call when I got back home. I did, he then said if I wasn’t buying $2,000 in leads a month he would not talk to me…..I left that company because of the team not the company. The next company the one I am still a customer with, I met another great guy who still calls me wanting to help me [I’m a little busy with the “Bad Real Estate deals and resulting bankruptcy]
{I am also involved with starting a financial biz – and I am looking for interested people in the New Jersey Area –contact me if interested ASAP!!!!} He is a great guy so if anyone is looking for an excellent company with excellent leadership, contact me

Very good tips. I just became an associate with a reputable MLM company and appreciate all the "free" advice I can find. It's also nice to hear a positive take on this business when alot of people (family and friends alike) seem to be skeptical.
